As a result, people do not feel connected to policies or tools originally intended to serve them. To bridge the gulf between the public sector and people, it is crucial to provide a space that brings all stakeholders to collaborate with one another on policy design. For example,<a href=\"https:\/\/eit.europa.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/jrc128771_01.pdf\"> the EU Policy Lab<\/a> engages people and other stakeholders in addressing important policy issues. With insights drawn directly from future policy beneficiaries, together they create tailor-made frameworks for formulating and experimenting with different policies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Co-create means an approach to develop solutions with people in a democratic and horizontal setting, instead of relying on a top-down policy process where only experts are consulted and their opinions prioritised.
